Cambridge Street traffic is reaching historically high volumes of 5000 or more vehicles on weekdays with peak volumes exceeding 500 vehicles per hour. We believe this volume combined with the speed is unsafe for a residential street like Cambridge Street.
Up to this point, the city has not promised to address this problem with temporary measures while construction continues on Stafford well into the fall.
We urge every household on Cambridge to call
Deputy Mayor Janice Lukes and Councillor John Orlikow
and let them know that we demand that traffic calming measures be installed on Cambridge Street now.

Be sure to tell your neighbours to call and send emails also. We want to make sure that The City of Winnipeg understands that high traffic on Cambridge Street will no longer be tolerated by residents.
